An Introduction To Accounts Receivable Factoring
accounts payable, accounts department, Information about Accounts Receivable, Information about Accounts Payable,

If you are wondering what accounts receivable factoring is all about, you may find all that you want to know right here. You may already know what an account receivable is, a debt owed by your customer to be paid in later due date.

But what exactly is factoring? It is a transaction in which you sell your rights to collect your customer debt in the future in exchange for cash you can collect today.

A typical scenario

You have a customer that has been with you since your early business days. Both of you have developed a good relationship, and you agree to extend credit agreements to increase your sales.

Your profit went up as you began selling more products for that customer. Then recession strikes, you are still selling in large volume but you sold the goods on credits. The economic downturn has left you no option but to stop extending credits for customers because you need cash badly.

Handing out credits is easier than collecting it, especially if you have a good relationship with a particular customer. You just don't want the loyal customers to leave you stranded while the economy takes a dive. You need them now more than ever, but your cash flow is shrinking. What can you do to solve this problem, get the cash and keep the customer at the same time?

Here comes the answer!

accounts payable, accounting, accounts department, Information about Accounts Receivable, Information about Accounts Payable,
An accounts receivable factoring company might be your help, as they specialized in buying your accounts receivable at a discounted rate.

This is a common practice in business, and available to all company size. The term used for larger companies is securitization, in which the receivables are pooled and sold through a trust company. Any assets or receivables that have cash flow can be pooled in securitization. Investor would then buy the receivables in the form of securities, bonds, or obligations.

Acknowledgments

The fourth edition of this book might as well be the first edition of a brand new series focused on XHTML. Given the amount of rewrite necessary, I want to make sure that all those that helped are given their due. First I want to acknowledge the numerous fixes and improvements that came from the feedback from both my students at UCSD and readers around the world. I write these books for you and I am glad you are putting this information to good use.

I would also like to show my appreciation to the many staff members at PINT who helped on this book project. First, Mine Okano is now three for three on book projects. It may have taken a while for us to get started, but Mine made sure everything proceeded along and I owe her big time, as usual. Once again Dan Whitworth helped out and I especially need to make sure to acknowledge the tenth-anniversary of his first Web site. Rob McFarlane always came through when given a mere afternoon to come up with any desired image changes. Plenty of others helped directly or indirectly on examples, proofing, or just running the shop, including Maria Defante, Jimmy Tam, Eric Raether, Meredith Hodge, Cathleen Ryan, Catrin Walsh, James Brock, Jason Gan, David Sanchez, Melinda Serrato, Dave Andrews, Kim Smith, Matt Plotner, Marcus Richard, Cory "TAF" Ducker, Jeremy Weir, Candice Fong-Guleno, Kun Puparussanon, Michele Bedard, Michael Wootton, Heather Jurek, Kevin Griffith, Borrego, and Dutch. Of course Joe Lima, Allan Pister, Christie Sorenson, Chris Neppes, Jared Ashlock, Tad Fleshman, and Perry Herst deserve some credit as well.

The folks at Osborne are always a pleasure to work with. I am not so sure Megg Morin finds my tardiness a pleasure, but somehow our relationship remains intact. Despite skipping our usual long phone calls, Julie Smith was still able to put this monster together. Tana Allen, Nancy Rapoport, Valerie Perry, Roger Stewart, Susie Elkind, Jim Kussow, Elizabeth Jang, and others at Osborne had to deal with all those details and issues that authors take for granted.

My Technical Editor Fritz Schneider, formerly of PINT and now of Google, was of course instrumental in making sure that I was precise. Now that he graduates on to his own books I wish him luck and hope I can edit his tomes someday.

Finally, to my friends and family who tried to give me space to write this thing, you deserve the biggest thanks. However, Tucker and Angus, who can't read, will have to be told of their importance in this production. And finally, Sylvia, I am sure you can appreciate the ironic importance of HTML in our lives.

Thomas Powell   is a long time Internet and Web industry veteran. After an stint at CERFnet in the early 90s, he founded Powell Internet Consulting (later renamed PINT) in 1994, a Web and network consulting services firm. The firm has grown significantly over the years to become a well-respected player in corporate Web site development and has large clients all over the country in a variety of industries.

Beyond his involvement at PINT, Thomas is well known in the academic community both regionally and internationally. He founded the UCSD Extension Web Publishing program in the late 1990s and continues to teach classes in Web development and design there. He is also an instructor for the UCSD Computer Science Department where he teaches classes in Web design theory, Web Programming and the theory of programming languages.

He continues to publish regularly in Network World and is a member of the prestigious Network World Test Alliance. He also has published numerous books on Web technology and design, including the best-selling Web Design: The Complete Reference and [removed] The Complete Reference. His books have been translated into over 12 languages and are used around the world both in industry and college settings.

All About 3G
3G or 3rd generation mobile telecommunications, is a generation of standards for mobile phones and mobile telecommunications services fulfilling the International Mobile Telecommunications-2000 (IMT — 2000) specifications by the International Telecommunication Union.[1] Application services include wide-area wireless voice telephone, mobile Internet access, video calls and mobile TV, all in a mobile environment. To meet the IMT-2000 standards, a system is required to provide peak data rates of at least 200 kbit/s. Recent 3G releases, often denoted 3.5G and 3.75G, also provide mobile broadband access of several Mbit/s to smartphones and mobile modems in laptop computers.

The following standards are typically branded 3G:

* the UMTS system, first offered in 2001, standardized by 3GPP, used primarily in Europe, Japan, China (however with a different radio interface) and other regions predominated by GSM 2G system infrastructure. The cell phones are typically UMTS and GSM hybrids. Several radio interfaces are offered, sharing the same infrastructure:
o The original and most widespread radio interface is called W-CDMA.
o The TD-SCDMA radio interface, was commercialised in 2009 and is only offered in China.
o The latest UMTS release, HSPA+, can provide peak data rates up to 56 Mbit/s in the downlink in theory (28 Mbit/s in existing services) and 22 Mbit/s in the uplink.

* the CDMA2000 system, first offered in 2002, standardized by 3GPP2, used especially in North America and South Korea, sharing infrastructure with the IS-95 2G standard. The cell phones are typically CDMA2000 and IS-95 hybrids. The latest release EVDO Rev B offers peak rates of 14.7 Mbit/s downstreams.

The above systems and radio interfaces are based on kindred spread spectrum radio transmission technology. While the GSM EDGE standard ("2.9G"), DECT cordless phones and Mobile WiMAX standards formally also fulfill the IMT-2000 requirements and are approved as 3G standards by ITU, these are typically not branded 3G, and are based on completely different technologies.

A new generation of cellular standards has appeared approximately every tenth year since 1G systems were introduced in 1981/1982. Each generation is characterized by new frequency bands, higher data rates and non backwards compatible transmission technology and there are many advantages and disadvantages of technology in education are exists. The first release of the 3GPP Long Term Evolution (LTE) standard does not completely fulfill the ITU 4G requirements called IMT-Advanced. First release LTE is not backwards compatible with 3G, but is a pre-4G or 3.9G technology, however sometimes branded "4G" by the service providers. WiMAX is another technology verging on or marketed as 4G.
