    Not sure when this blog post was written, but by this time Google has since stopped this service as of August 1st 2014.

    Since then I have looked for a different solution to deal with syncing of my Gmail with Outlook and other services.
    In the end I opted for a cheap but pretty useful program called EVO Collaborator for Outlook, also called ECO.

    With that I could sync Gmail,Yahoo,iCloud etc etc with Outlook.
    Might be worth to take a look at if you are facing this issue.
