The Importance of White Blood Cells in Your System
By Janno G. C. Damgaard
Even though you may not know all there is to know about your body's functions, you should pay attention to teachings on white blood cells. Lack of those cells in your blood could mean serious trouble. Researchers know that a low count of these blood cells,
means a part of your body is stopping productions of white blood cells. White cells in the blood are important for your immune system to function properly and to fight infections within. If your doctor diagnoses you to suffer from a low blood count, it is a serious diagnosis, and you better pay attention to what you are being told.
While being treated for cancer a part of the radiation treatment will kill off white blood cells, and even though you need these cells, it is an accepted trade off for fighting the cancer. White blood cells work as the body's defense system against infections of any kind. Even a common cold can be dangerous if it is not being held down by your immune system.
The other issue about a too low white blood cell count is that you must find out why this has happened. Your body is created in such a way as to continuously make new cells. If suddenly there are not enough, something is wrong and it is the cause of the lowered production.
i just found out from my doctor that my white blood cell is very low 1.7
